Passengers brought down from plane after man shouts bomb in Qatar Airways flight to London
Kolkata, June 6: Panic gripped NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata following a bomb scare on a Qatar Airways flight to London. All passengers were immediately brought down from the plane.
As per information, a man started shouting before take-off that there was a bomb in the Qatar Airways flight to London.
The Qatar Airways flight to London from Kolkata via Doha with 541 passengers on board was getting ready for take-off at 3.29 am on Tuesday when the man started shouting. The matter was immediately brought to the notice of the CISF by the airline crew.
The aircraft was then thoroughly searched by the police with sniffer dogs. However, nothing was found. The passenger was detained by the CISF staff.
During interrogation, the man alleged that another passenger on the plane told him that there was a bomb in the plane. The father of the detained man was also called to the airport police station. He showed some documents that stated that he was undergoing treatment for mental illness.
