PM Modi to skip Russia's Victory Day parade on May 9, Rajnath Singh to represent India
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will skip Russia's Victory Day parade in Moscow scheduled for May 9 marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, the Kremlin announced today.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesperson informed that even though Prime Minister Modi will not be present for the commemorative events, yet India will be represented by different diplomatic representative.
A number of other international leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, are expected to come to Russia for events to mark the 80th anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.
Earlier this month, Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that PM Modi received invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putinfor the victory parade slated to be held for in Moscow on May 9.
