Prime Minister Modi joins Dussehra festivities at Ram Leela ground in Delhi's Dwarka
New Delhi, October 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the vibrant Dussehra celebrations, featuring the burning of Ravan's effigy on the auspicious occasion of 'Vijaya Dashmi' at Delhi's Ram Leela Maidan in Dwarka Sector 10. Modi served as the esteemed chief guest at the 11th grand Ramleela organized by the Shri Ramleela Society, where he also participated in the traditional Ravana Dahan ritual.

The Prime Minister arrived at the venue at approximately 5.30 pm, where a large gathering of eager attendees had gathered to witness the annual festivities. Earlier in the day, Modi extended his warm greetings on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, emphasizing the festival's significance in symbolizing the triumph of positive forces and the embrace of goodness in life. He conveyed his best wishes, writing, "Best wishes to my fellow citizens on Vijayadashami. This sacred festival signifies the defeat of negative influences and the adoption of virtuous values in life. Wishing you all a Happy Vijaya Dashami!"
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Parvesh Sahib Singh expressed his delight at the Prime Minister's presence at the Dussehra celebrations, highlighting the significance of Modi's attendance. He noted that people had come from various regions to partake in the festivities, stating, "We are very happy that PM Modi is coming here. Last time, he had come in 2019, and this time, he accepted our invitation. We extend our gratitude to him for this. People have come here from far away."
The celebration marked a joyous occasion, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and fostering a sense of unity and cultural pride among the attendees.
