Rajya Sabha passes Delhi Services Bill with 131 MPs in support
Delhi Services Bill passed: Rajya Sabha has passed the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023. The bill was passed in the upper house with the support of 131 MPs.
At least 102 members oppose it in the Rajya Sabha.
Following the approval of the Delhi Services Bill passed in Rajya Sabha, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal says, "PM Modi does not obey the Supreme Court's order. The public had clearly said that the Centre should not interfere in Delhi by defeating them, but PM does not want to listen to the public."
He added, "Amit Shah Ji in Parliament said that we have the power to pass laws. You have been given the power to work for the people, not take away their rights"
"Whatever I do public of Delhi supports me for that and they have shown their support by making me win in the elections. BJP is just trying to stop our good work. They are hindering the development work. They are trying to stop me from working. This time public will not let them win any seat," he said.
The bill was passed by Lok Sabha last week.
