Six of family from Haryana killed as car crashes into dumper while returning from Mukam Dham
PTC News Desk: Six members of a family from Haryana's Fatehabad district were killed and a young girl was seriously injured in a road accident in Rajasthan's Bikaner district on Monday.
The family was returning home after visiting Mukam Dham when their Swift Dzire car collided head-on with a dumper truck near Hemasar village in the Shri Dungargarh area. The collision was so powerful that the car was completely crushed. Deep skid marks on the road reflected the severity of the impact.
Police and local residents rushed to the scene and used cutting equipment to rescue the occupants trapped inside the wrecked vehicle.
Six family members died on the spot. The victims were identified as:
Om Prakash Suthar, a resident of Matana village in Fatehabad
His wife, Sorma Devi (55)
His daughter, Pramila (30)
His granddaughter, Yashvi (10)
His granddaughter, Khushi (8)
His grandson, Ronit (4)
Another granddaughter, Tanvi, was seriously injured and was first taken to a community health centre in Shri Dungargarh before being referred to PBM Hospital in Bikaner for advanced treatment. Her condition remains critical.
The tragedy comes just two weeks after Om Prakash retired as a senior accountant from the Fatehabad District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) office on May 31. Family members said he regularly visited Mukam Dham on every Amavasya (new moon day), and this was his first pilgrimage there after retirement.
The accident has devastated the family. Om Prakash is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, while Tanvi continues to fight for her life in hospital.
Police have sent the bodies to Shri Dungargarh Hospital for postmortem examination and have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
