Cockroach Janta Party enters Punjab: CJP founder Abhijit Dipke announces protest in Amritsar on June 13

PTC News Desk: After organizing protests in Delhi and Pune, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke announced on Friday that the group's next protest will take place in Amritsar on June 13.

The youth-led movement, often described as India's "Gen Z revolt," is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and seeking accountability over issues related to the NEET and CBSE examinations.

In posts on social media platforms X and Instagram, Dipke said the CJP would hold a peaceful protest at Golden Gate at 4 pm on June 13. He also urged students and volunteers to participate in the demonstration.

The movement, which started online and has now expanded to street protests, has brought together young people across the country who are concerned about problems in India's education system. It has also sparked discussions about the need for education reforms.

With Punjab preparing for Assembly elections in 2027, political parties are already working to strengthen their support base. If the protest succeeds in attracting large numbers of young people, it could become a significant political issue in the state ahead of the elections.
