Speeding Mercedes rams into three near Delhi's Vasant Kunj, leaving one dead
PTC News Desk: A speeding Mercedes car hit three men in a high-end area of Delhi last night, killing one of them and injuring the other two. The accident happened after midnight near Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj. The Mercedes G63 went out of control, crashed into a pole, and then hit the three men who were waiting at an auto-rickshaw stand.
Police arrived quickly and took the injured to the hospital. One of them, Rohit, 23, from Chamoli in Uttarakhand, was declared dead on arrival. The other two men, aged 35 and 23, are being treated in the hospital. All three worked at a restaurant in Ambience Mall.
Driver Arrested
The police have arrested the driver, Shivam, 29, who lives in Karol Bagh. Police said that legal action is being taken. At the time of the accident, Shivam was driving with his wife and older brother.
Initial investigation suggests that the car lost control due to a road diversion, causing it to hit the pole and then the three workers. Shivam and his family were returning home after attending a wedding. The car belongs to Shivam’s friend, Abhishek.
