PTC Web Desk: The family of one of the two accused, Nitin Fauji, purportedly involved in the fatal shooting of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in Jaipur on Tuesday claimed "they have lost contact with him for several weeks".
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was fatally shot on Tuesday inside his residence in Jaipur. "On November 9, my son had gone to get his car repaired in Mahendergarh, Haryana. He had his car fixed that day, but we haven't heard from him since," said Nitin Fauji's father to mediapersons in Mahendergarh, Haryana, addressing his son's alleged connection to the Jaipur incident.
A classmate of Nitin, speaking to reporters in Mahendergarh, expressed shock upon learning about the incident through the media. "He (Nitin) excelled in academics, and we were classmates in school... later, he pursued a career in the Army," the classmate shared.
"Nitin, who got married a year ago, was academically inclined. It's hard to believe who influenced him. We can't believe his involvement in the case," the classmate added.
Residents in Mahendergarh, Nitin's hometown, echoed disbelief at the news of his alleged involvement in such an act. The Rajasthan Police conducted searches to apprehend the two accused linked to Gogamedi's murder on Tuesday. As per the police, one of the accused hails from Haryana, while the other is from Rajasthan.
