ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਉਰਫ਼ ਅਫਰੀਦੀ ਇਥੋਪੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਡਿਪੋਰਟ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ 5 ਲੱਖ ਦਾ ਇਨਾਮ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਐਂਟੀ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਟਾਸਕ ਫੋਰਸ (AGTF) ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। AGTF ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਕਾਊਂਟਰ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਓਵਰਸੀਜ਼ ਫਿਊਜਿਟਿਵ ਟ੍ਰੈਕਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਐਕਸਟਰਾਡੀਸ਼ਨ ਸੈੱਲ (OFTEC) ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਉਰਫ਼ ਅਫ਼ਰੀਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਥੋਪੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਡਿਪੋਰਟ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ‘ਚ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਡੋਨੀ ਬੱਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਸੂਵਾਲ ਗੈਂਗ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਸਰਗਨਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ‘ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ’ ਤਹਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਿਛਲੇ 10 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
In a major breakthrough, Anti-Gangster Task Force (#AGTF) Punjab, in coordination with the Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell (#OFTEC) of Counter Intelligence, Punjab with the support of Central Agencies, secures the deportation of Gurwinder alias Afridi, a key kingpin of the Doni Bal–Prabh Dassuwal gang, from Ethiopia following a 10-month-long international manhunt under Operation SHAHID. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused was allegedly directing targeted killings, extortion-related firing incidents and organised criminal activities in Punjab from abroad. The Punjab Government had announced a reward of ₹5 lakh on the information leading to his arrest. The operation involved sustained intelligence gathering, surveillance and tracking across multiple countries in Asia, South-America and Africa, in close coordination with national and international agencies. ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ‘ਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ‘ਚ ਟਾਰਗੇਟ ਕਿਲਿੰਗ, ਫਿਰੌਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਫਾਇਰਿੰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਈ 5 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਕਈ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ‘ਚ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਭਾਲ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਤਹਿਤ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ, ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਤੇ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ‘ਚ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਨ, ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਦੀ ਲੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਟ੍ਰੈਕ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ, ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਤੇ ਸੂਬੇ ‘ਚ ਅਮਨ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
