Patiala Nihang Attack: 7 arrested from Gurdwara in village Balbera

Seven fugitives, donning the robes of Nihangs, have been arrested from the Gurdwara in village Balbera, in Patiala on Sunday. The 'Nihangs' fled to Gurdwara Khichri Sahib from where the police managed to arrest them. The arrest comes after a policeman's hand was chopped off and two other policemen were injured after a group of Nihangs allegedly attacked them at Sanaur vegetable market in Patiala district. Punjab Chief Secretary KBS Sidhu took to Twitter and wrote: "7 fugitives, donning the robes of Nihangs, have been arrested from the Gurdwara in village Balbera. One of these was injured in the police firing and has been rushed to a hospital. The operation was supervised by IG Patiala Zone, Jatinder Singh Aulakh." https://www.facebook.com/ptcnewsonline/videos/256386445517173/?t=2 Meanwhile, the accused will now be taken to the CIA (Crime Investigation Agency) office for interrogation, a report suggested. Reportedly, two of them refused to cooperate and raised the religious and anti-police slogans.
