AAP-Congress alliance | “Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested in 2-3 days” Saurabh Bharadwaj claims

AAP-Congress alliance | After the announcement by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Arvinder Singh Lovely on Thursday about the alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress in the national capital for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Friday claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested in the next 2-3 days.

Bharadwaj alleges that people associated with the BJP have been suggesting that if AAP enters into a multi-state coalition with Congress, Arvind Kejriwal could face imprisonment. They argue that the only way to ensure Kejriwal's safety is by refraining from forming any alliance with Congress.

Saurabh Bharadwaj says, "We have information that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested in the next 2-3 days. The question is, why is the Central Government showing such haste? ...People have been telling us that if AAP forms a multi state alliance with Congress, then Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested. Even the BJP people are telling us that if an alliance (with Congress) is forged, Arvind Kejriwal will be jailed and if we want to see him outside, there is just one way -that Arvind Kejriwal doesn't become a part of INDIA Alliance with Congress."

Bharadwaj also alleged that the BJP is apprehensive about facing challenges in areas where AAP and Congress join forces.

"It is evident that the BJP is feeling uneasy. They believe that if AAP and Congress unite, it will pose difficulties for the BJP in forming governments wherever such alliances are forged," he remarked.

Regarding the seat-sharing agreement with Congress, Bharadwaj stated, "All announcements regarding seat allocations across states will be made simultaneously. Discussions are nearing completion, and I am confident that the announcement will be made shortly."

Notably, the breakthrough on seat-sharing came after several rounds of deliberations this week and on Thursday, as well as a meeting at Congress heavyweight KC Venugopal's Delhi residence.

In the meeting, Venugopal and Mukul Wasnik represented the Congress, while Sandeep Pathak, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi represented the AAP.
