Bypolls results 2022: The counting of votes in the seven Assembly constituencies spread across six states began on Sunday at 8 a.m.

The fierce race is between Bharatiya Janata Party and regional parties such as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the Samajwadi Party (SP), and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

The voting took place on November 3 in Mokama and Gopalganj assembly constituencies of Bihar, Andheri (East) of Maharashtra, Adampur of Haryana, Munugode of Telangana, Gola Gokarannath of Uttar Pradesh, and Dhamnagar of Odisha.

Among the seven seats where by-polls were held, the BJP held three seats, Congress two while the Shiv Sena and the RJD had one each.

11: 39 am | Rutuja Latke, the candidate of Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena, continues her lead on Andheri (East) assembly seat in Maharashtra with a total of 24,955 votes so far.

11: 15 am | BJP's Suryabanshi Suraj continues his lead on Dhamnagar assembly seat in Odisha with a total of 18,181 votes. 

BJD's Abanti Das trailing (a total of 14,920 votes).

11:10 am | BJP candidate Aman Giri continues his lead on Gola Gokrannath seat in Uttar Pradesh with a total of 76,765 votes.

Gola Gokrannath: BJP's Aman Giri leads with 15,866 votes

Andheri (East): Rutuja Latke leading with a total of 4,277 votes after the first round of counting ended.

Bihar: RJD's Mohan Prasad Gupta leading on Gopalganj assembly seat with 2713 votes.

Uttar Pradesh: BJP's Aman Giri leading on Gola Gokrannath assembly seat with 3877 votes.

Adampur: BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi leading by 2846 votes in the first round of counting.

Bihar: RJD's Neelam Devi leading in Mokama assembly seat

Munugode: TRS candidate leads with margin of over 1000 votes after Round 1

According to EC estimates, 48.35 percent of voters turned out in the Gopalganj constituency, while 52.47 percent turned out in Mokama, Bihar. Telangana's Munugode had the highest voter turnout, with 77.55 percent voting. In addition, the Adampur constituency in Haryana saw a 75.25 percent voter turnout.

In the Dhamnagar Assembly constituency bypolls in Odisha, voter turnout was 66.63 percent. The Gola Gokrannath constituency in Uttar Pradesh had a voter turnout of 55.68%. Meanwhile, the high-octane Andheri East constituency in Maharashtra had the lowest voter turnout at 31.74 percent, according to EC estimates.
