PTC Web Desk: Online activist group Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Monday announced that he will return to India on June 6 to hold an offline protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over controversies linked to several national examinations.

In a video shared on CJP’s official X account, Dipke said students across the country have suffered due to repeated disruptions in exams such as NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC-GD.

He claimed that nearly eight lakh people have supported CJP’s online petition seeking the minister’s removal. According to Dipke, more than one crore students have been affected by paper leaks, delays, technical problems and alleged irregularities in recent examinations.

‘Students are losing faith’

Dipke said students were facing stress and uncertainty because of repeated failures in the examination system.

“We have raised our voice on social media for many days. Students work hard for years, but paper leaks and mismanagement are destroying their future,” he said in the video message.

He also referred to protests being held in cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur and parts of Maharashtra, saying young people were demanding accountability from the government.

Dipke added that if no action is taken against those responsible, students may lose trust in the education system.

Protest planned in Delhi

The activist said he would land in Delhi on the morning of June 6 and asked supporters to gather at the airport. From there, they plan to approach the Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar.

CJP’s online petition, titled “Petition to Sack the Education Minister”, had received over 7.9 lakh signatures by Monday evening. The petition states that repeated exam controversies have damaged the credibility of the education system.

Series of exam controversies

The government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have been under pressure after several examinations faced problems in recent weeks.

The NEET-UG 2026 exam was cancelled after allegations of a nationwide paper leak surfaced. The examination has now been rescheduled for June 21 and the matter is being investigated by the CBI.

CBSE also came under criticism after delays in Class 12 results and confusion related to its On-Screen Marking portal. Some students claimed answer sheets uploaded online did not belong to them. Later, CBSE admitted that there had been a mix-up.

CUET examinations were delayed at some centres because of technical glitches, while the SSC-GD exam witnessed chaos at centres in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar due to overcrowding and sudden cancellations.

Several opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Abhishek Banerjee, have criticised the government over the handling of the examinations and accused authorities of failing students.
