Nitin Nabin, Bihar minister and five-term MLA appointed BJP National Working President
PTC News Desk: Nitin Nabin has been appointed as BJP National Working President. He currently serves as a minister in the Nitish Kumar–led Bihar government, holding the Road Construction portfolio
The BJP parliamentary board picked Nabin for the post.
"Bharatiya Janata Party's parliamentary board has appointed Nitin Nabin, a minister in the Bihar government, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national working president with immediate effect," BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said in a notification.
Nitin Nabin had recently retained the high-profile Bankipur Assembly constituency in Patna district in the Bihar assembly polls, defeating RJD's Rekha Kumari by a margin of over 51,000 votes.
Nitin Nabin is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar and a prominent name in the state’s political landscape. He is currently a minister in the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, where he is in charge of the Road Construction Department.
A five-time legislator, Nabin entered the Bihar Assembly in 2006 after winning a by-election from the Patna West seat. He subsequently secured four consecutive victories from the Bankipur constituency in the 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2025 Assembly elections. In the 2020 polls, he achieved a comfortable win, defeating Luv Sinha, the son of actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, by a significant margin.
