Punjab: Bibi Jagir Kaur rejoins SAD, says ' I was Akali, I am Akali, will remain Akali'
PTC Web Desk: Bibi Jagir Kaur has returned to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in a ceremony attended by party leader Sukhbir Singh Badal in Begowal, Kapurthala, on Thursday. Party spokesperson Dr Daljit Singh Cheema officially announced her reintegration into the party.
Expressing her commitment, Babi Jagir Kaur said she was rejoining the party unconditionally, affirming her steadfast loyalty to the Akali cause. She also expressed her gratitude towards Sukhbir Singh Badal and requested his forgiveness for any past disagreements. She said, "I was Akali, I am Akali, I will remain Akali."
In response, Sukhbir Singh Badal highlighted Bibi Jagir Kaur's familial connection to the SAD, likening her absence to a temporary separation. He shared personal anecdotes, highlighting their close relationship, and urged all dissident factions to reconcile and reunite with the Shiromani Akali Dal.
