'We provide computers, RJD gives pistols': PM Modi's scathing attack over RJD
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday while addressing election rally launched a scathing attack over Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and other opposition parties, accusing them of turning the state's youth to goons.
He asserted that while NDA is providing the young generation computers and sports equipment, the RJD is handing over to them pistols.
“These people want to make their own children chief ministers, ministers, MPs, and MLAs, but for your children, they want to make rangdaars (goons). Bihar will never accept this. Jungle raj means pistols, cruelty, corruption, and enmity,” Modi said while addressing a rally in Sitamarhi, and reiterated it in Bettiah.
Escalating the attack, PM Modi said, “If you listen to the campaign songs and slogans of the RJD, you’ll shiver. What the RJD wants to do for the children of Bihar is clearly visible in the election campaign of its leaders. Innocent children are being made to say this on RJD platforms; those children are saying that they want to become gangsters."
The remarks were made in reference with a video showing a 10-year-old speaking about pistols and rangdari from an election stage in presence of RJD leader.

"Jungle Raj means Katta, Kroorta, Katuta, Kusanskar and corruption. These people have bad values. They want bad governance. As soon as the jungle raj came, the era of Bihar's downfall began. RJD ended all development in Bihar. Any talk of development from them are safed jhooth (white lies)," he added.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also expressed his happiness over higher voter turnout in the phase 1 of state assembly elections, held on November 6. According to the Election Commission, 65.08 per cent of electors had exercised their franchise.
He also underscored that the higher voter turnout was a result of overwhelming support for the NDA.
