PSEB has no funds to pay salaries to its staff
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is going through major crisis. According to sources , the boards has no funds to pay salaries of November to its staff .
The monthly salary bill comprised around Rs 5 crore of salary and Rs 4.5 crore towards pension whereas the board has a cash reserve of only Rs 3 crore.The situation looks alarming as few of the members has already dug their pension funds.

The board is now dependent upon on the money , which will be received in the form of annual examination fee from students.
“We will pay salaries to our staff. We will receive money in the form of annual examination fee, which will settle the salaries.” said PSEB Chairman Manohar Kant Kalohia.
