Voting in Chhattisgarh's Maoist-hit belt starts today Voting for 18 seats in Chhattisgarh’s Maoist- hit belt has started under heavy security cover. The remaining constituencies will vote on November 20. The Congress government is also hoping to recapture the power claiming huge anti-incumbency. More than one lakh security personnel, including paramilitary forces, has been deployed in the state. The security forces are using drones to a vigil in the polling districts. There has been a bitter political sparring between BJP and Congress. The last phase of the campaign witnessed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath accusing Congress of the rise of Maoists in the state. They also accused Congress of supporting urban Naxals.
