Abohar explosion: Three suffer severe burns in high-intensity cylinder blast at house, nearby shops also damaged
PTC News Desk: A high-intensity explosion was reported at a house near Patel Park in Abohar, inflicting damage to the nearby shops causing the wall to collapse. The explosion was so severe that it blew off the doors of the residence. Three persons, including a woman, sustained injuries.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gurmeet Singh along with forensic officials reached the spot to establish the cause behind the explosion.
The preliminary investigation suggest that it was a gas cylinder blast with locals speculating that presence of inflammable materials could be also be a contributing factor.
The injured were immediately transported to Civil Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Upon receiving the news, former MLA Arun Narang and other activists arrived at the Civil Hospital to enquire about the condition of the injured.
