Amritsar police station blast: Khalistan Liberation Army claims responsibility, letter goes viral

Amritsar police station blast: A letter claiming responsibility for a blast at a police station in the Ajnala area of Amritsar is going viral on social media. The letter states that the Khalistan Liberation Army (KLA) carried out a grenade attack on a police station in Ajnala on March 30 and has claimed responsibility for it.


However PTC News does not independently verity the purported post. 

There has been no official confirmation of this claim so far. The police have launched investigation into the matter and are also closely examining the information circulating on social media.

Police officials said that all aspects need to be thoroughly examined before reaching any conclusion. Security agencies have also been put on alert, and surveillance in the entire area has been increased to prevent any untoward incident. 

On the morning of March 30, the sound of an explosion outside the Bhindisain police station, located in the Rajasansi area of Amritsar district, caused panic in the locality. 

According to sources, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle are suspected of carrying out the explosion outside the police station. The sound of the explosion triggered panic among localities. After the incident, several teams of police officials reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
