Bulldozer action in Punjab: Drug peddler's house demolished in Talwandi, accused named in 6 FIRs
PTC News Desk: In the backdrop of bulldozer action in Uttar Pradesh, a similar action has been carried out in Punjab's Talwandi where house of a drug peddler was demolished on Tuesday.
According to the reports, Punjab police had shared the video of the incident confirming that house of drug peddler Sonu in Talwandi are has been demolished. Sonu has been involved in the drug trafficking for more than three years and he has been booked under several cases. S o far he has been named in six FIRs in multiple police stations.
The house that has been demolished is believed to be built with the money earned by drug trafficking, said police officials.
The Punjab police carried out the action on the directions of Punjab government under the banner of 'War On Drugs'. Following the operation, Punjab police issued a statement and said that this action is a stern warning to those involved in smuggling of drugs and similar action will be taken against the culprits in the coming future.
