Drive against criminals: Mohali police arrest operative of Goldy Brar and Saba USA
Punjab: In the major drive launched against criminals/gangsters, district SAS Nagar Police got a major breakthrough when a team of Zirakpur Police apprehended Gurpal Singh r/o Derrabassi, an operative of Goldy Brar & Saba USA, said Dr Sandeep Garg, IPS, SSP SAS Nagar.
Divulging the details, SSP said that during special patrolling conducted in festive period on November 6, SHO Zirakpur along with his team arrested Manjeet aka Guri after a brief encounter at VIP road, Zirakpur, while his other associate Gurpal managed to escape from the spot. Guri sustained a bullet injury in the retaliation fire by police party & two pistols were recovered from him.
An FIR (331 u/s 307, 353, 186 IPC & 25 Arms Act) was also registered at PS Zirakpur & preliminary interrogation of Guri revealed that on the directions of foreign based Goldy Brar & Saba USA of lawrence bishnoi Gang, along with his associate Gurpal were handed over 3 foreign made pistols along with 30 live cartridges at village Dadrana, collage road, Dera Bassi by two unidentified bike borne persons.
Providing more details into the case, SSP said that a Special OPS/Hunt was launched by SAS Nagar Police to nab Gurpal.
Wanted shooter and operative of Goldy Brar, Gurpal Singh was arrested from village Rankhandi, district Saharanpur in UP, where he was provided hideout by his handlers.
A .30 calibre chinese pistol along with 5 live cartridges has been recovered from the accused.
