Amritsar, December 19 (Maninder Singh Monga): Former Punjab minister Sucha Singh Langah on Monday completed his 21-day religious punishment imposed by 'Panj Singh Sahibans' at Sri Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar.

Notably, Sucha Singh Langah was excommunicated by Sri Akal Takht on October 5, 2017, after a video, showing him in an objectionable position with a woman, went viral. He was awarded religious punishment on November 26.

After completing his religious punishment, Sucha Singh Langah thanked 'Guru Sahib' and said he had been given opportunity to connect to Guru by keeping politics at bay. 

The former minister said he would remained associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal till death. On the other hand, it is to be decided by the high command whether Langah would be active in politics.

The punishment imposed on the former minister included listening to one hour of kirtan,  shoe cleaning and cleaning of the dishes.

He was also asked to offer langar to all 'dhadi jathas' serving at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
