Mahilpur: Cash stolen from Gurdwara’s ‘golak’

Mahilpur, December 7, 2022: In yet another incident, cash from golak' was stolen by miscreants from Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Charhat Singh located on Kamowal Road on the outskirts of the Bilaspur village. 

The whole incident has been recorded on CCTV footage wherein thief was seen collecting cash from Gurdwara’s ‘golak’ with his shoes on.

The entire act of sacrilege has been captured in the CCTV footage installed at the different places in Gurdwara Sahib. 

As per the statement of one Kulwinder Kaur, worker at Gurdwara Sahib she stated at as she reached Gurdwara in the morning she found the locks of the gurdwara broken. 

As she went to check inside Gurdwara Sahib, the golak was broken and some amount of cash was also stolen from the golak. 

As per the CCTV footage, the face of the thief was covered with. The miscreant broke the main doors of Gurdwara Sahib with veil and thick iron rod and stole some cash from Golak by vandalising it.

Meanwhile the investigation is underway and the CCTV footage is being checked. 

A lot of anger raged among Sikhs as the miscreants went near Sri Guru Granth Sahib wearing shoes. 

The villagers and members of Gurdwara committee stated that such incidents was conducted to deteriorate situation of Punjab.
