Moga horror: Migrant worker sexually assaults nine-year-old, strangles her to death; arrested
PTC News Desk: A horrifying and deeply disturbing incident that shames humanity has come to light from Punjab's Moga district. According to reports, a migrant worker sexually assaulted and strangled to death a 9-year-old girl and then hanged the body from a ceiling iron beam.
While recounting the horror, the family of the victim said that both the sisters were alone at the time of the incident and taking advantage of the situation, a migrant worker living nearby entered the house.
According to the family, the accused sexually assaulted the 9-year-old girl and then choked her to death. The incident has sparked widespread panic and outrage throughout the locality.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Inspector Varun Sharma, Station House Officer (SHO) of City Police Station Moga, rushed to the spot with his police team. The police took custody of the girl's body and registered a case under relevant sections based on the statements of the family members.
The SHO stated that the perpetrator has been arrested. He added that the suspect will be produced in the honorable court to seek police remand for further interrogation.
