Punjab govt orders immediate transfers of two IPS officers; check details
PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Government has announced the immediate transfer of two IPS officers on administrative grounds, according to an official order issued by the Department of Home Affairs.
As per the notification approved by the competent authority, Deepak Pareek, IPS, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as SSP Tarn Taran, replacing Abhimanyu Rana, IPS. In turn, Abhimanyu Rana has been transferred and posted as AIG Intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar.
The officers concerned have been directed to assume their new responsibilities without delay. The order was issued by Alok Shekhar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab, Department of Home Affairs.
Copies of the directive have been circulated to the relevant government and police departments for immediate implementation.
