On the Karwa Chauth 2023 eve, when all the married women’s were making preparations to celebrate the auspicious Karwa festive so as to be blessed with long and healthy life for her husband, a spine-chilling incident took place in Punjab’s Kapurthala which sent shockwaves and spread terror, panic and scare among communities.
In the recent horrific, shocking and unsettling incident took place in Punjab’s Kapurthala, just few hours after returning from Italy, NRI husband brutally murdered his wife by thrashing her head on floor of their house.
The spine-chilling incident unfolded on Tuesday night when over the heated argument over some issue, NRI husband who returned from Italy, Sukhdev Singh in Sandhu Chatha village in Kapurthala dragged his wife, Harpreet Kaur to his room and in a gruesome act repeatedly thrashing her head on the floor of their house in a village, killing her on the spot.

Kapurthala Senior Superintendent of Police registered the case against Sukhdev Singh who is absconding and continues efforts are being made to nab him.
Such spine-chilling and frightening incidents raise concern about the safety of women in their own residence.
