Tarn Taran bypoll: SAD holds massive roadshow as Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa files papers in presence of Sukhbir Singh Badal
PTC Web Desk: In a powerful show of strength, thousands of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) supporters and local residents participated in a grand roadshow today in support of party candidate Bibi Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, who officially filed her nomination papers for the upcoming Tarn Taran byelection.
The impressive procession, led by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, featured a large convoy of vehicles that passed through several villages and the city before culminating at the SDM office, where Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa submitted her nomination papers.

Before the roadshow, Sukhbir Singh Badal, accompanied by senior SAD leaders and the party’s candidate, offered prayers at Gurdwara Beed Baba Budha Sahib Ji, Chabbal, seeking blessings for a successful campaign. The roadshow, which began from the historic gurdwara , saw hundreds of vehicles and enthusiastic supporters waving party flags and chanting slogans in favour of the Akali Dal.
Speaking to the media, Sukhbir Singh Badal expressed gratitude to the voters of Tarn Taran for their overwhelming support and faith in Bibi Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, who hails from a respected religious and military family. “The massive participation in today’s roadshow is proof that the people of Tarn Taran have already decided to ensure a decisive victory for the Akali Dal candidate,” Sukhbir Singh Badal said.
He added that voters would honour the sacrifices of Randhawa’s family and reaffirm their trust in Punjab’s only regional party. “People are determined to reject the opportunistic, Delhi-based parties and bring back a government that truly represents Punjab’s voice,” he stated.
He further criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for “failing every section of society” and neglecting the state’s development. He said the people now recall the welfare schemes and progress achieved during the previous Akali Dal-led government.
