Mansa, October 20: The father of late Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Sidhu has expressed his deep disappointment over the virtual appearance of the murder case accused in the court. He shared his anguish, and said he had been promised that the accused would physically attend court proceedings.

"We were assured that the accused would be produced physically. But they are not produced properly on the VC (Video Conference). Out of 25 accused, 22 were produced on Thursday. Lawrence Bishnoi did not speak anything because he had a 'Maun Vrat'. We are very helpless in this situation," he said on Thursday, his voice heavy with sorrow.

This delay in presenting the accused in the court has not only affected the legal process, but also added to the emotional burden of Sidhu Moosewala's family, who are seeking justice for their beloved son. The next hearing on this matter is scheduled for November 2.

Sidhu Moosewala, a talented artist at the young age of 28, was tragically shot dead on May 29 last year in Mansa, Punjab,  just a day after the Punjab Government had curtailed his security cover. The assailants fired over 30 rounds at him, leaving him dead in his car.

The incident took place just two days after the Punjab Police withdrew the security cover of numerous persomalities, including Sidhu Moosewala.

The Punjab Police SIT has been diligently working on the case, filing three chargesheets against 32 accused. This included notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, as they believed the murder was a part of a series of revenge killings between the Bishnoi and Bambiha gangs.

The investigation pointed to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as the mastermind behind the heinous crime. His close aide, Goldy Brar, who is believed to be residing in Canada, is also under investigation in this case. The Punjab Police have even issued a Red Corner Notice against Brar through Interpol.
