Sri Akal Takht Sahib launches dedicated website to support Punjab flood victims
PTC Web Desk: In the wake of devastating floods that continue to affect several villages in Punjab, Sri Akal Takht Sahib has taken a significant digital initiative to streamline relief efforts. Acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj on Friday inaugurated a special website, SarkareKhalsa.org, designed exclusively to assist flood-hit families.
Through this platform, affected individuals in need of food, shelter, medical aid, or other essentials will be able to directly reach out for help. At the same time, individuals and organisations willing to contribute financially or materially can channel their support through the website.
Explaining the purpose, acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj said the initiative aimed to bridge the disparity where some families are receiving more aid while others remain neglected. “This website will ensure balanced distribution of relief materials and timely assistance to every deserving family,” he added.
Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj said the website would be regularly updated to maintain transparency and to ensure that donations reach the right beneficiaries. H efurther cautioned donors and recipients to remain vigilant against possible misuse or fraudulent practices.
Currently, many families in Punjab remain displaced and are struggling to rebuild their lives. Alongside efforts by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and various social service groups distributing relief materials, this digital step by Sri Akal Takht Sahib is expected to strengthen the overall relief network.
Expressing hope, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj said the platform would not only provide timely support to flood-affected families but also assure donors that their contributions are being utilised responsibly for genuine beneficiaries.
