'Targeted killing': 21-year-old Punjabi woman shot dead near gas station in Canada

Brampton, December 5: Pawanpreet Kaur (21), a Punjabi woman, was shot dead near a gas station in Mississauga town of Canada. She had been living in Brampton and was an employee of a gas station here.

The incident took place at a Petro-Canada at Creditview Road and Britannia Road West around 10.40 pm on Saturday, said the Peel Regional Police.

Pawanpreet Kaur received multiple shots and died on the spot. The accused is still at large. The police are on a lookout for the suspect, who fled the crime spot on foot. No weapon has been recovered from the crime scene so far, say the police.

The police have asked anyone with information or dashcam footage that may have captured the moments.
