Punjab: Kisan March-led by Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal started from Amritsar on Thursday. Sukhbir Badal visited Golden Temple in Amritsar and offered prayers before beginning the Kisan March.
He'll lead a Kisan March from here today. The March, which also begins from Sri Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo & Sri Keshgarh Sahib at Anandpur Sahib, will conclude at Mohali.
The SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal said, "We'll give a memorandum to the Governor, with a request to the centre and President Ram Nath Kovind that Parliament session be called again & Farm Laws be taken back."
The Kisan March will go to Punjab Raj Bhawan. "Farmers are protesting against those black laws," Sukhbir Singh Badal said.
Earlier, Sukhbir Singh Badal had appealed to all the protesting farmers and cadre not to stop an ambulance or emergency service vehicle during protest march and dharnas.
Around two lakh people will join the historic March in over 40,000 vehicles that will start from all three Sikh religious Takhts to Chandigarh on Thursday.
The march from Sri Amritsar Sahib-led by Sukhbir Singh Badal would travel via Jalandhar, Phagwara, Nawanshahr, Ropar, Kurali, and Mullanpur before culminating at Chandigarh.
Due to a shortage of time, all three Kisan Marches would proceed directly towards Raj Bhawan instead of assembly at Dussehra ground first as planned earlier.
