Caught on cam: Firing outside DSP office in Fazilka's Jalalabad, two arrested
PTC News Desk: A firing incident was reported in Punjab’s Jalalabad after clashes broke out between two groups. One group allegedly chased the other and reached the DSP office, where shots were fired. Police have arrested two suspects and recovered an illegal pistol.
The incident took place on Thursday night, after a clash between the two groups created tension in the area. According to reports, members of both groups chased each other on motorcycles during the confrontation.
One group reportedly entered the DSP office to protect themselves. The other group allegedly opened fire from outside, with bullets hitting the DSP office.
Police later arrested two suspects, identified as Sona Singh and Paramjit Singh, who are residents of Jalalabad and nearby areas.
Jalalabad City SHO Mohit Dhawan said police recovered an illegal .32-bore pistol from the accused. The case has now been handed over to a forensic team.
Forensic experts will determine how many rounds were fired, which weapon was used and whether the recovered pistol was used in the shooting. Police said some other suspects involved in the incident are still absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
Police said further investigation is underway and that all those involved will be arrested.
