Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (S.A.S. Nagar) is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Balbir Singh Sidhu won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of S.A.S Nagar. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Aam Aadmi Party's Narinder Singh Shergill with a margin of 23,873 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 2,08,971. 225 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,38,733 votes were cast in the S.A.S. Nagar constituency and the percentage was 66.39%, which was recorded lower than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Narinder Singh Shergill, Shiromani Akali Dal's Tejinder Pal Singh and Congress' Balbir Singh Sidhu were MLA candidates for the S.A.S Nagar constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Balbir Singh Sidhu (Congress) won with 66,844 votes, while Narinder Singh (AAP) got 38,971 votes. Tejinder Pal Singh (SAD) managed to get 30,031 votes.
