SAD protest against hike in petrol and diesel prices in Punjab Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) staged protest against Captain Amarinder led Punjab government outside DC Complex in Jalandhar against the rising prices of diesel and petrol across the state, here on Tuesday. Senior leaders like Bibi Jagir Kaur, MLA from Adampur Pawan Kumar Tinu, Sarabjit Singh Makkar and others. Leaders said that petrol-diesel is getting out of the reach of public now. They said Punjab government is charging VAT on diesel and petrol prices higher than other states in the country. They said both the government, Center and the state are responsible for the hike. They demanded Punjab government to reduce VAT on diesel and petrol prices as Punjab charges highest VAT on petrol prices. -PTC News
