India spinner Sneh Rana suffers nasty collision with teammate, taken for scans
PTC News Desk: Offbreak spinner Sneh Rana was taken for scans after colliding with Pooja Vastrakar in the 25th over of India's second ODI against Australia on Saturday.
Rana collapsed on the ground holding her head in the 25th over after colliding with Pooja. Medics arrived on the pitch to treat her, and she walked off the pitch while applying an ice pack."Sneh Rana complained of a headache after a collision while fielding during the second ODI against Australia. She has been taken for scans and she will not take any further part in the ongoing ODI. Harleen Deol has been named as a concussion substitute," BCCI Women announced.
India's fielding was sloppy, dropping seven catches, allowing Australia to keep the scoreboard moving and post a challenging total of 258/8.
Phoebe Litchfield (63 runs from 98 balls) and Ellyse Perry (50 runs from 47 balls) scored crucial runs to help the team establish a solid foundation.
Australia reached 258/8 thanks to unbeaten innings from King (28* runs from 17 balls) and Kim Garth (11* runs from 10 balls).
King smashed two sixes against pacer Pooja Vastrakar in the final over of the inning, propelling Australia to a competitive total.
Deepti took five wickets and allowed 38 runs in her 10-over spell. Pooja, Shreyanka Patil, and Sneh Rana each took one wicket.
