WPL Auction 2023: Richa Ghosh, who hails from Siliguri, has struck big in the WPL Auction 2023. She has been bought by Royal Challangers Bangalore.
On his daughters' big win, her father Manabendra recalls how they had to spend nights in cheap hotels in Kolkatta to make her career. He now plans to buy a house for his daughter Richa Ghosh so that she could not face any hindrance in training sessions.

Richa Ghosh's father Manabendra says they would not leave Siliguri but would buy a flat in Kolkatta from the money so that she could live their and participate in her practice sessions.

Recalling his daughter's journey, he said in 2013, he had to take a loan to get a bat for Richa. It was before her U-19 trials. However, she could not make it that year. But in 2014, she made her debut in U-19. And from this year onwards, she never looked back.

The wicketkeeper-batter, Richa is known for her power hitting. She was taken by Royal Challengers Bangalore a day after she played a crucial role in India's seven-wicket win over Pakistan at the Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa.
