Sukhbir-@-7pm,-Episode-8-5Sukhbir Singh Badal sharing his vision said, “Often people question their governments, that you have done this for the economically weaker section but not for us. You see, the government has a lot of responsibilities- one of them being generating revenue, then creating infrastructure with it, and then one major of them is ‘Social Sector’. It means that government needs to back the economically weaker sections to make them independent. So ideology of SAD, my father Parkash Singh Badal has been CM for five times, is to create a healthy support system for this specific section and I intend to carry forward the same legacy. Panelist Raunkee Ram raising a query said, “During the lockdown, people belonging to the backward class received help. But people who were from the upper class but at the same time, economically weaker didn’t receive any. How do you and your party SAD will fix this issue?” Answering this query the CM candidate of SAD said, “It is a very comprehensive question and should be answered. In Punjab, women run the households. They look after the budget and plan how to save more. Therefore this time government has decided to offer Rs.2000 per month to women homemakers. And this scheme will boost the economy too. Women will spend this money and it will eventually increase cash flow in the market.” “In our previous tenure, we brought the “Bhai Kanhiya Scheme” that ensured good health facilities to the economically weaker section. And if we happen to form our government this time we would offer health insurance worth 10 lacs that would be provided free of cost treatment and medicines to the poor.” Also Read | Sukhbir @ 7pm: Opposition targetting SAD as it's only Punjab's party, says Sukhbir Singh Badal -PTC News
