Remembering the former Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh on his 27th death anniversary, his grandson Ludhiana MP Ravneet Bittu told media that if it was not Beant Singh’s crackdown on militancy in Punjab, the state would have been nothing different from what Jammu and Kashmir is today. The 12th Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh was assassinated on August 31, 1995.
