Terrorists kill cop in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag
A policeman was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, informed the police on Saturday.
According to sources, terrorists fired upon a policeman in Hassan Pora locality of the Bijbehara area in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
The injured policeman was rushed to a nearby hospital, however, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The deceased cop has been identified as Head Constable Ali Muhammad.

As per the information, shortly after the incident, security forces seized the area. A search operation has been launched to trace the attackers.
"Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law. The investigation is ongoing, and officers are trying to uncover the complete details surrounding this terror attack. The area has been cordoned off, and a search is underway," said police.
Notably, terrorist attacks on police officials and security forces have significantly increased in recent days. On Friday, an off duty policeman was engaged in a face-off with militants when they fired at him in Srinagar's Batamaloo area. However, the cop had a miraculous escape.
Earlier, on January 25, terrorists had tossed a grenade towards security personnel in Hari Singh High Street at around 3:30 pm. Four people were injured as a result of the incident, including ACB police officer Tanveer Hussain and two women.
