Tragic road accident claims lives of four from Punjab's Patran in Haryana's Sirsa
Chandigarh, November 24: In Haryana's Sirsa, a tragic accident unfolded on Thursday evening as a tractor-trolley transporting pilgrims from Punjab to a temple in Rajasthan overturned near a village. The devastating incident resulted in four fatalities and 18 individuals sustaining injuries, as confirmed by the local police on Friday.
According to SHO Ishwar from Nathu Sari Chopta police station, the accident transpired due to the detachment of the tractor-trolley's hook. The pilgrims, hailing from various villages neighbouring Patran in Punjab's Patiala district, were en route to Gogamedi in Rajasthan when the mishap occurred.
"Among the victims, four individuals, including two children, lost their lives. Additionally, eighteen others were injured and promptly transported to nearby medical facilities. The accident occurred when the tractor-trolley's hook disengaged, leading to its overturning," stated the police official.
