Calls for Xi Jinping's daughter's deportation from US grow louder amid student visa row

PTC News Desk: As Donald Trump’s administration intensified crackdown over enrollment of foreign students, US President’s ally has called for deportation of Chinese President XI Jinping’s daughter from the United States.

Laura Loomer, a far-right political commentator and ally of Donald Trump, has demanded that Xi Mingze, the daughter of Chinese President Xi Jinping, be deported from the US.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Loomer said, "Let's go! Deport Xi Jinping's daughter!"

She added that Xi Mingze "lives in Massachusetts and went to Harvard!" Ms Loomer also claimed, "Sources tell me PLA guards from the CCP provide her with private security on US soil in Massachusetts!"

However no evidence in the public domain corroborates Laura Loomer’s claims of Xi Mingze’s presence in the United States. On the contrary, a 2015 report by the New Yorker indicates that she returned to China after completing her studies at Harvard, noting that Xi "prepared to depart from campus as quietly as she had arrived."

Xi Mingze is the only daughter of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the celebrity soprano Peng Liyuan. Born in 1992, very little is publicly known about her.

Laura Loomer’s remarks come at a time when Trump’s feud with Harvard is at its peak. The IVY League institute has been accused by the Trump administration for sympathizing anti-Semitism and working with the Chinese Communist Party. The US government and Harvard are locked in a legal standoff over immigration rules and rights of educational institutions to enroll international students.
