Patiala railway track blast: Low-intensity explosion on Delhi-Rajpura railway near Shambhu, accused
PTC News Desk: A low-intensity explosion was reported on a railway track near Bothonia village between Shambu and Rajpura around 10 pm, prompting a major police response.
Meanwhile one casualty has also been reported as preliminary investigation suggests that the accused may have died while planting the bomb.
Soon after receiving the information police team reached the spot, launched investigation and cordoned off the area.
Patiala DIG Kuldeep Chahal and SSP Varun Sharma also reached the spot.
“The body and circumstantial evidence suggest the accused may have died while trying to plant the bomb. The investigation is at a very preliminary stage,” a senior official said.
Wires and other material were seized from the blast site. Two motorcycles and a damaged mobile phone were also seized.
