After Nepal, massive anti-govt protests in France: Over 1 lakh people take to streets to seek Macron’s resignation amid budget cuts

PTC Web Desk: After Nepal, France has also witnessed massive anti-government protests as more than one lakh people took to the streets on Wednesday, demanding the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron and opposing recent budget cuts.

The demonstrations turned violent in several cities, with clashes breaking out between protesters and security forces. Incidents of arson and vandalism were reported, prompting authorities to deploy nearly 80,000 police personnel nationwide. So far, over 200 agitators have been detained.
