Indian-origin tech worker identified as suspect in US family murder-suicide
San Mateo, California: An Indian-origin software engineer, Anand Sujith Henry, is suspected of killing his wife, Alice Priyanka, 40, and their four-year-old twin sons, Noah and Neithan, before taking his own life in a tragic murder-suicide in California. The grim discovery was made at their $2.1 million home in San Mateo, where the family had been residing for the past nine years.
The shocking incident unfolded when authorities responded to a welfare check on Monday and found the bodies of the couple with gunshot wounds in the bathroom, while the twin boys were discovered deceased in a bedroom.
The San Mateo Police Department confirmed the identities of the deceased as Anand Henry (father), Alice Benziger (mother), and their minor twin boys. A legally registered 9mm handgun belonging to Henry was found at the scene.
Investigations suggest that Henry, a former Meta employee, was responsible for the deaths of his wife and children. While Alice suffered multiple gunshot wounds, Anand had a single gunshot wound. The cause of death for the twin boys is pending pathology examination.

Although Anand had filed for divorce in 2016, the proceedings were not finalised. Authorities noted that there was no history of violence at the residence, except for an incident involving a mountain lion sighting in the backyard. The motive behind the tragic murder-suicide remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
In response to the incident, police have urged the community to seek help from domestic violence and mental health resources, emphasizing that such tragedies can be prevented with the right support and assistance.
