As part of a temporary ceasefire in Gaza today, Hamas was supposed to release a group of 13 Israeli hostages to nearby Egypt in exchange for 39 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.
As a part of swap deal between Israel and Hamas, Hamas provided the names of Palestinian inmates who are anticipated to be released from Israeli jails in the first wave. There are 39 names on the list, 24 of which are women and 15 of which are minors. The occupied West Bank is home to the vast majority of those on the list.
