Lahore's underworld don Ameer Balaj Tipu shot dead at wedding: Reports
PTC Web Desk: Ameer Balaj Tipu, a prominent figure in Pakistan's Lahore city's underworld and owner of a goods transport network, was fatally shot by an unidentified assailant at a wedding ceremony in Lahore's Chung area on Sunday, as reported by Dawn via a private TV channel.
The son of Arif Amir, also known as Tipu Truckanwala, Ameer Balaj Tipu succumbed to injuries sustained during the gunfire. His father had fallen victim to a fatal attack in 2010 at the Allama Iqbal airport.

The family's history of violence includes an age-old feud involving Balaj's grandfather, as reported by Dawn. Police reports indicate that the assailant targeted Ameer Balaj Tipu and two other guests, critically injuring them. Balaj's armed accomplices retaliated, resulting in the immediate death of the attacker.

Despite efforts to save him, Ameer Balaj Tipu died at Jinnah Hospital. The news of his demise triggered grief and fury among his supporters, who gathered at the hospital to mourn. Heart-wrenching scenes unfolded as some women beat their chests and condemned the perpetrators, while others loudly expressed their allegiance to Balaj.

The police have sealed off the area and launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, as reported by Dawn. Their primary focus is to uncover the motive behind the attack and identify the assailant. As of now, no arrests have been made, according to reports.
