Russia quips Trump and Musk over fallout, offers tech billionaire political asylum
PTC News Desk: Amid escalating feud with US President Donald Trump, Russia has offered political asylum to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Senior Russian official while quipped Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk with an offer to mediate peace between the two.
"We are ready to facilitate the conclusion of a peace deal between D and E for a reasonable fee and to accept Starlink shares as payment," Medvedev, a former Russian president and prime minister, posted on X.
"Don’t fight, guys!" he added, tongue firmly in cheek.
The Russian leader’s post targeted the escalating verbal conflict between former political allies who have now become adversaries. Dmitry Medvedev, a key Putin ally and currently the deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, made his comments as Russian officials expressed amusement and satisfaction over the public rift between the two prominent American figures.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump—who is attempting to mediate peace between Russia and Ukraine—has found himself at odds with Elon Musk, following Musk's criticism of Trump’s much-touted tax and spending legislation.
