US: Security scare at JD Vance’s Ohio home, suspect detained

The incident took place late at night at Vance’s home in East Walnut Hills on William Howard Taft Drive. Secret Service personnel reportedly alerted Cincinnati police around 12:15 am after noticing a person running near the area. Officers responded immediately, and one suspect was taken into custody.
Officials have not shared details about the detained individual or the possible motive. Authorities confirmed that the vice president’s family was not present at the residence during the incident and said there was no indication that the person entered the house.
Photographs from the location showed broken windows, though it is still unclear how the damage occurred. Police said there is no ongoing threat and that an investigation is continuing.
