US President Joe Biden and First Lady unharmed as car crashes into Delaware motorcade
Wilmington, December 18: A sudden jolt rattled President Joe Biden's motorcade as a car collided with a vehicle attached to it on Sunday in Delaware, causing a brief security concern.
The incident unfolded as President Biden was leaving his campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. A loud bang reverberated as a sedan collided with an SUV positioned at an intersection approximately 40 meters away from Biden. Swiftly responding to the situation, security personnel swiftly moved the president into a waiting vehicle, promptly escorting him away from the downtown Wilmington building.

An eyewitness and AFP reporter present at the scene stated, "Both the president and first lady are fine," further redirecting inquiries to the US Secret Service for additional details. Pool reporters stationed outside the campaign offices, where President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden had just finished dinner with staff, were startled by the sudden crash. They witnessed President Biden's surprised reaction to the event.
Immediately following the collision, security agents sprang into action, surrounding the silver car, which bore Delaware license plates. The driver, who raised his hands, was promptly apprehended by authorities. Amid the commotion, reporters were swiftly guided by staff members to rejoin the motorcade, evacuating the area under the guidance of security personnel. Ensuring the safety of the president, the motorcade departed from the rain-soaked location.
